Wisdom Circle

I had an amazing day. I was able to spend time with what I call the 'Wisdom Circle'. This is when you have the opportunity to spend time with women that have years of experience. I was able to spend the day with two ladies that have years of wisdom. It was a life changing experience. On top of just spending the day with them, I had a piece of the best Sweet Potato pie I have ever tasted and received an angel.

If you don't have a 'Wisdom Circle', don't start 2009 without one. This is an opportunity to 'sit at the feet' of women that have years of experience and wisdom over your own. Where you can ask them questions about life, relationships, marriage, sex, money, raising kids - whatever your heart desires. As these women mentor you, they help guide, nurture, and prepare you as you mature deeper into womenhood, into wisdom, and into yourself. They also act as a sounding board for your ideas, projects and aspirations. Choose your wisdom circle wisely. You want to have women that you know you can trust and are willing to share their wisdom and experience with you.
Proverbs 3:
13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom,
the man who gains understanding,

14 for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.

16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.

17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
those who lay hold of her will be blessed.

Be Blessed in 2009!

Spiritual Rest

This morning I was reading 'Sparking Gems from the Greek' by Rick Renner. The subject was "Spiritual Rest" Matthew 11:28. The study was about taking the time to making God your top priority of the day, everyday. This subject touched home with me. I get up in the morning 5 a.m. planning to spend time with God; sometimes I am totally focus on doing that, then other days I allow distractions to come in. This reminded me that I have to schedule time to sit in God's presence. To rest in Him - " Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Today, take the time as we go into 2009 to make God part of your schedule everyday. Check out your schedule and make God the top priority of your day, everyday.

This link connects you to Rick Renner talking about the Sparkling Gem of the day. Enjoy! http://www.lightsource.com/ministry/refuel_with_rick/

The Reason For the Season!

When I woke up this morning, all I good think of was that I hope people remember the real reason for the season.
In Isaiah 9:6A(Amplified Bible)it states:
6For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. Now this is the reason for the season.
While we are shopping, spending money, going more into debt; did we stop and think that all of this doesn't even matter. Are we truly celebrating Jesus life, by giving gifts to others. Or do we need to take the time and give Him the gift that He really wants from us - YOU! He really just wants us to spend more time with Him and to get to really know Him personally. To be like Him everyday.
We have seven more days until 2009. I think we should take this time and Review, Reaffirm, and Recommit ourselves for 2008. We need to review 2008 - what was good, what do we need to improve in 2009, what goals did we complete or did not. Then we need to reaffirm what we did do good in 2008 and carry that into 2009. Lastly, we need to recommit ourselves in 2009 to fulfilling our purpose of what God has called us to do on this earth.

Spitirual Family

The other day I went to my Spiritual Father's mother birthday celebration. It was awesome to hear what other women around the same age as her, had to say how she has spiritually blessed their lives. How in reality she has become 'the pastor' of he senior housing village. As I sat listening to everyone else, I thought about what she has meant to me since I met her. We have truly connected since I met her two years ago. We can talk to each other without speaking. She is an awesome person who has so much wisdom and discernment. Yet, this morning I fully received the revelation of the impact of this women on my life. Because of her I have an awesome spiritual father and because of him I have an awesome spiritual mother. You know God gives us a natural family tree, but yet he also blesses us with a spiritual family tree; if we receive it. The natural family tree gives you life and a heritage, but the spiritual family tree truly births your purpose and destiny. When you have spiritual grandparents, spiritual parents and spiritual sisters they make sure that there are no spiritual abortion. They make sure that you birth forth your purpose and destiny. Take time today and make sure that you have a strong spiritural famity tree. Your life depends on it!

2008 Financial Crisis - A Heritage Point of View

On Monday, September 29 as I watch the House of Rep not pass the Bailout Bill and the biggest point drop ever 777.68 on the market. I did not panic as the President may have suggested last week. Instead I thought of where I came from, my heritage. I thought of my ancestors. They made it over on a boat (I know, because I traced it); they gave them scraps to eat and now we have a major cuisine - Soul Food. They had in them survival instincts. This is the time where we have to pull out of us our survival instincts, because we know it is in us. We have to learn to do without less. We have to start paying off bills, instead of creating bills. This is not the time to panic about your investments or 401k. We just have to be patient, be wise and remember that we come from a stock of people that survived through the worst of circumstances.

2008 Financial Crisis - Spiritual Viewpoint

As I watched the Bailout Bill not pass the House on Monday and the market plunge to 777.68. I thought of a lot of things. I did not panic as the President may have suggested last week. I didn't want to pull the money from my 401k or investments. First of all, my God is bigger then all of this. Plus, isn't 7 God's perfect number; now we know 777 is the perfect number's for a gambler (which I am not). Didn't He say, " That He would supply all my needs according to His riches and glory". His not mine or the world's. Do you think that when God told Noah to build the Ark, then take two of every animal and his family in the ark; the earth will be flooded. He did not stop and before he closed the Ark door and say 'God how many days are we going to be in this state, we may not have enough food'. No, Noel closed the door of the Ark and knew that God would supply all their needs. He trusted Him. Remember, the widow's oil in 2 Kings 4:1-7, when she cried out to the man of God and his response was, what do you have in your house? She had oil. He told her to borrow jugs and containers from neighbors and then go in your house with sons and lock the door and pour oil into them then set it aside. She poured until she had no more containers. She then went back to the man of God and he told her to go and pay off her debt and you and your sons live off what is left over. In the time of crisis this tells us that God cares for His faithful who are in need and distress. Also, she did not hesitate to respond to the instructions of the man of God in faith and obedience. This is the time to stay in prayer and build up your faith. Knowing that God has your back. Remember, He is our JEHOVAH-JIREH. This is the time to pray the Prayer of Committal. You can commit yourself and all of the cares and worries of your mind to Him and enjoy divine peace. This is truly the season to before more faithful and committed. This is the time to give over everything to God and have greater FAITH then ever. My personal reminder is the birds chirping in the morning (sometimes to early), going about their day. Knowing that their creator will provide them with the food they need to survive. Be strong and know that God knows what you need and has your back.

Write the Vision

In Habakkuk 2:2, "And then God answered : "Write this, Write what you see. Write it out in a big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision message is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming -- it can hardly wait! And it doesn't lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time." (The Message) The last time God gave you a vision 4 your life, did you write it down? The last time someone spoke in to your life, did you write it down? Did you pursue after it? We have to stop living are lives half hazardously. We have to live are lives on purpose. Start today by purchasing a journal and start by writing down what you feel your purpose is on this earth. This is just the beginning . ......
