R U Ready 4 2010?

Have you prepared 4 2010?  Or R U just going to let another year just happen and hope 4 the best.  In 2010, make sure that U prepare 4 your success, just don't let it happen.  And then God answered: "Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn't lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time.

The Prince and The Frog

Girl Scouts sponsored a movie event today with The Prince and The Frog.  We sold out, 319 Girl Scouts strong.  Yeah!!!  I wasn't able to see the movie until later that evening, but that was ok.   I have mixed feelings about the move. One African American mother talked about how her daughter was really effected by have a princess that looks like her, but then all the voodoo in the movie and why did she have to be a frog the whole movie.   Check out the movie and let me know what you think.

Trust

Can God trust you to carry out his will on the earth? Think about that question. Can you be trusted to do what he needs to be done on the earth? Can he trust you to wake up and pray for another person, when the Holy Spirit wakes you up in the middle of the night? God needs individuals that stand on his Word and trust him. Can he trust you?

Are you Accountable More to Men then God?

Just came from bible study and our Apostle was teaching on Delegated Authority, Accountability, Training, and Discipleship. Basically, why do you give more to man who doesn't even care about your 'soul'. He doesn't care whether your final destination is Heaven or Hell. Yet, to the church, to the man or woman of God who cares about you; you give them less then your best. You show up late, you don't respect delegated authority placed over you, you treat the church and the people any kind of way. Basically, you will be accountable to man, but not to God's delegated authority over your life. When was the last time you went out of your way for the delegated authority over your life? You will honor your boss on bosses day, but when is the last time you honored the man or women of God that you say that God has placed as your head(boss)? Think about it!

The Whole Man

In 2009, we have to become serious about the whole man - Mind, Body & Soul.    We have to develop the whole man.  We need to keep renewing our mind, we have to care about health & wellness of our body and we have to care about our spiritual self.   More important, do you attend a church that cares about the whole man?

Yesterday, at church we kicked off are Health & Wellness Ministry for 2009.  We had a medical doctor & nurse come in and gives us information about health issues in the United States.  More importantly, he said that you have to be an 'advocate' for your own health.  You can't leave it up to the doctors, ask questions about your health.  Be an advocate for your health and move.  These two points I think were the most important points that I took away.  Don't just allow a doctor to say, your blood pressure is high and you just start popping a pill with out asking what is my blood pressure and how do I go about lowering it.  You have to 'move', he said we are one of the most sedentary countries in the world.  We have to get off that couch and move.

Over the past weeks , we have been given books to read for the leadership team and for the entrepreneurs at church.  My Pastors are making sure that we continue to renew our mind.  They are caring for more then the soul of a man, but making sure that they care about the 'whole man'.

In 2009, do you have someone besides yourself being an advocate for your 'whole man'?

Commanding 2009

Today is the 3rd day of 2009. Are you in command of your year? Or is your year commanding you, just as it did in 2008. Last year, I had read a prophesy that focused on Mark 4:35-45 and it continues to stay on my mind. With everything that is going on in the 'world', God is still saying to us 'Peace Be Still'. Basically, He is still saying to us command your situation. That he is still on the throne and YOU still have the authority to command your situation. Remember Jesus reprimanded the disciples: "Why are you such cowards? Don't you have any faith at all?" "Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)?" Do you want to hear that from God. After everything he has done for you, every situation that he has pulled you through and you still don't have faith in Him. Since the news has been talking about the stock market going down, that we are in a recession; none of this has phased me a bit. My answer to all that talk - "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus " Phil 4:19. What is so personal about this statement is that 'My God'. Make this scripture personal - 'But my God shall supply all Mary's needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus'. God is still in control. That statement is commanding your life and how it is to operate. You are saying that I don't operate by the world system, but I operate by God's system. Have you every looked up the definition of Command. I looked it up. It means the following:
1. To direct with authority; give orders to.
2. To have control or authority over; rule:
3. To exercise dominating, authoritative influence over: "He commands any room he enters" (Stephen Schiff).
4. The act of commanding.

Now is that powerful or what? Isn't that what God is telling us throughout the Bible. To take authority , to have control. I really like #3 example of the definition, "He commands any room he enters". Let's change it around, "You command any situation that you are in". That is exercising dominating. In Genesis 1:18, God dominated the day and the night and he saw that it was good. Since we are suppose to be like God, then we should be dominating are day and night. YOU should be Commanding Your Day! Don't let another year go by, that you are not in COMMAND. Command 2009!

Mark 4:35-45 (The Message) Read King James and Amplified version.

35-38Late that day he said to them, "Let's go across to the other side." They took him in the boat as he was. Other boats came along. A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it. And Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, sleeping! They roused him, saying, "Teacher, is it nothing to you that we're going down?"

39-40Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, "Quiet! Settle down!" The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass. Jesus reprimanded the disciples: "Why are you such cowards? Don't you have any faith at all?"

41They were in absolute awe, staggered. "Who is this, anyway?" they asked. "Wind and sea at his beck and call!"
